The purpose of this meeting is to advance progress on the specific aims for the NCATS Administrative Supplement; namely:
To develop a model of a multi-CTSA, peer-review exchange process (CEREC) that will enable Hubs to efficiently obtain reviews from qualified reviewers with no conflict of interest with the applicant researcher.
To evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of CEREC.
To establish a platform for testing and evaluating innovations in the Pilot Grant review process.
To disseminate methodological innovations in the pilot grant review process to the CTSA network.
We anticipate that our face-to-face meeting will yield Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and a process for replicating CEREC in a systematic and effective manner.
